FM spokesperson condemns damages of cultural relics across Iran in recent attacks, calls for immediate halt of military actions

China on Tuesday expressed deep regret over Iran's cultural relics and monuments that were damaged during the current US-Israel-Iran conflict.
According to Iran's Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, recent attacks targeted numerous historic sites across Iran, with more than 133 cultural relics affected and many of them seriously damaged.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a press conference that world cultural heritage is a valuable asset for all humanity and China deeply regrets the damaged cultural relics and monuments of Iran.
Mao urged all parties involved in the conflict, especially the US and Israel, to immediately and fully cease military actions, promptly start dialogue and negotiations, and end this war that should never have happened as soon as possible.
