In response to a question from a journalist regarding that China has reportedly notified Russia of its willingness to extend the visa-free policy for Russian citizens by one year - as cited by Russian media from the Russian Foreign Ministry - Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Tuesday that China attaches great importance to personnel exchanges between China and Russia. "We welcome more Russian friends to take advantage of the visa-free policy to come to China, travel around, and experience the beauty of China," Mao said.
