In response to the US' reported plan to ramp up funding by hundreds of millions of dollars to counter China's growing influence in the Americas, Africa and Asia, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Tuesday that the development of normal relations and conduct of regular cooperation between countries should not target any third party. China has always opposed forming closed and exclusive blocs.

China's cooperation with relevant countries and regions, especially with developing countries, is not intended to win over anyone or confront anyone. Instead, it aims to jointly safeguard world peace, advance global development, uphold the international order, and work together to build a community with a shared future for humanity, the spokesperson added.
