"China's position remains consistent. We firmly oppose illegal unilateral sanctions that have no basis in international law and are not authorized by the UN Security Council," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Wednesday, when asked whether China was still allowing Iranian commercial flights to land after the US threatened to sanction countries permitting such flights from Wednesday.
