Update: 5 dead in under-construction bridge collapse in East China's Yancheng

Three missing individuals have been found deceased, bringing the total death toll to five in a bridge collapse accident in Yancheng city, East China's Jiangsu Province, local authorities said Tuesday, according to the Xinhua News Agency.

The local government of Xiangshui county in Yancheng confirmed that a tied-arch beam collapse occurred during the construction of the Yuegang Bridge on the Lianyungang-Shanghai Railway at 5:46 pm on Monday, which is undertaken by China Railway 12th Bureau Group Co., Ltd.

After the collapse occurred, the municipal and county governments immediately organized emergency rescue operations and on-site response efforts. 

Rescue operations at the scene are basically completed, per Xinhua.
