In recent days, large-scale demonstrations have erupted in several Indonesian cities, including Jakarta, with police stations, train stations, and government buildings set on fire, resulting in casualties among Indonesian citizens, according to a notice published by Chinese embassy in Indonesia on Saturday.

The Chinese Embassy in Indonesia urges Chinese nationals and institutions in the country to heighten security precautions, closely monitor developments on the ground, reduce non-essential outings, keep away from protest sites and large gatherings, and avoid crowded areas.

In case of emergency, the embassy advises Chinese to promptly contact local police and seek assistance from the Chinese Embassy or consulates in Indonesia.
