12th batch of CPV martyrs' remains scheduled to return home on September 12

The remains and related items of 30 Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) martyrs who lost their lives during the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea will be returned to China from South Korea on September 12 this year, as the 12th batch of the transfer of remains of these martyrs in South Korea has been agreed upon by China's Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of South Korea, according to China Central Television (CCTV) on Monday.

From 2014 to 2024, China and the South Korea, in accordance with international laws and humanitarian principles, successfully completed 11 consecutive handovers involving the remains of 981 CPV martyrs in South Korea, along with related artifacts, said the report. 

This year marks the 12th transfer implemented in accordance with the consensus reached by both sides. China and South Korea will continue to cooperate in the transfer of the remains of CPV martyrs in South Korea, CCTV reported.
