South Korean former Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan was a senior politician of the South Korea who visited China many times leading delegations and made positive contributions to the development of China-South Korea relations. China expresses condolences over his passing and extends sincere sympathies to his family, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun on Monday in response to a media question on the passing of Lee in Vietnam.
